I had fun working at Verti and gained many insights into how to communicate with clients and how teamwork plays a role in a small company. I learned not to give up when faced with difficult situations. My favourite moment of the internship was when we went out for a company bonding event and relaxed after a stressful month with a lot of work piling up. Looking back, it has helped me grow as a person, and I’m glad I could be part of the Verti internship.

Yes, I felt supported as an intern and was given important roles typically handled by full-time staff. I gained a lot of valuable experience. It was fun working at Verti. What stands out to me about Verti is how, despite having limited manpower, the team was still able to handle multiple clients, getting the job done both quickly and efficiently.
A: During my internship at Verti, I developed valuable soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking. Managing numerous clients with varying needs taught me how to effectively prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Working closely with a small team also helped me enhance my interpersonal skills and build strong collaboration abilities. On the technical side, I gained proficiency in using the Xero accounting software for tasks like bank reconciliation. Additionally, my involvement in the corporate secretarial function taught me how to prepare important documents, including Director’s Resolutions and Share Transfer Forms.
Q: What’s been your favourite moment during the internship so far?
A: One of my favorite moments during the internship has been the daily lunches with the team. It was a time to step away from work and bond over conversations. These moments not only helped me build stronger relationships with my team members but also made the workplace feel much more welcoming.
Q: How would you describe the culture at Verti Corporate?
A: I would describe the culture as inclusive, warm, and respectful. Everyone was genuinely cordial and supportive throughout my three months there. Even during a particularly hectic period, the team came together to ensure we met our deliverables. Overall, the team is close-knit, and I truly enjoyed working with them.
I applied for the internship at Verti Corporate upon my lecturer’s recommendation, and was pleasantly surprised by the small team's ability to handle diverse responsibilities, which allowed me to gain hands-on experience in areas like accounting and social media, while developing both soft skills like communication and time management, and hard skills with accounting software such as Xero and Financio, with my favourite moments being company bonding events like the Christmas gathering and Chinese New Year meals, and after the internship, I plan to further my career in accountancy through continued studies.
